Replicate
Inspired to bring this project to your own campus? This section is designed to help students, faculty, and community leaders replicate and adapt our work in their own communities. Whether you're starting from scratch or expanding an existing initiative, we hope you'll find tools and guidance to support your journey. Together, we can build a network of empowered voices and safer, more inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ survivors everywhere.

01
Assess Your Campus + Community Environment
This is the research stage of the project. Start by identifying gaps in support for LGBTQ+ survivors. This can be done through surveys or interviews with community partners. In this early stage, you will want to contact and build relationships with DEI offices (e.g., Title IX, crisis centers, etc.) and student advocacy groups.

Tip 1: Keep track of each community partner contacted so you can send them a thank you note later on.

Tip 2: If a community partner does not initially respond, don't hesitate you send a follow-up email after a week or so in the same email chain.
02
Build a Core Team
Next, you will want to assemble members from your community to aid in this initiative. Recruit students, faculty advisors, and staff allies, then begin to define roles (e.g., outreach, storytelling coordination, content editing, event planning) and a consistent time to check in about project progress.

03
Define Your Goals and Timeline
For us, we had a goal of increasing a sense of LGBTQ+ community by uplifting the voices of survivors and providing accessible resources through a webpage. However, this may look different in your project. Maybe it looks like a document published through WordPress and shared around your community via fliers. Whatever your end goals and deliverables are, this is a good time to establish a timeline.
04
Outreach and Visability
Finally, begin to partner with student organizations, faculty, and local LGBTQ+ centers. Table at events, publish flyers, and collaborate with campus media to increase awareness. This could even include a launch event or awareness weeks.
